New In: River Island Spring 2016

The High Street is becoming a warmer place as retailers start to show their hand releasing more and more items for the Spring season ahead. Far, far, ahead. Sigh.

River Island has not yet disclosed the full range, but here are some of my picks from what they have released so far. Wardrobe staples to combine and interchange with what you already have. And in my case, that is already a lot of clothes.

White melange waffle shirt (£25.00) / Black Clubmaster-style sunglasses (£16.00)
Black minimal textured strap watch (£30.00) / Dark grey slim trousers (£28.00)
Grey smart double-breasted peacoat (£80.00) / Black Chelsea boots (£45.00)

A muted pallet, light fabrics with some texture and matte finishings. All that a modern man needs.

Rather than a sweater, I would probably alternate the shirt with a long-sleeved roll-neck top (like this one from Uniqlo) during colder days to keep it light and cohesive. High performance fabrics are a bliss!
