Sale: Winter 2015 Top Picks

The Christmas bliss is almost over and 2016 is creeping up upon us. London is becoming wetter, foggier and colder by the minute. The rain tapping on my window as I type this is a clear example of what is to come.

This year, as always, I promised myself not to spend too much during the Sale. I have been perusing websites and shop floors trying to find a limited number of items to incorporate into my wardrobe and I think my bank account will survive the difficulties of January.

Here are the pieces I have put my eye on!

Last year I made a terrible Boxing Day mistake buying a navy coat at Topman that I thought was black. It became one of my Winter essentials, but the thought of, well, navy, makes me feel weird.

I’m planning on getting this grey oversized coat from Zara this time around. It has the means of becoming a new favourite.

My second pick, I already bought last week. This lovely cotton and linen-blend open cardigan by COS is light and at the same time, more structured than any given cardigan. I am not a fan of sweaters so I am always excited to find alternatives for layering up during the cold months.

As part of my exploration of new silhouettes, I have been meaning to get wide legged trousers for a while. I almost bought a wool and acrylic-blend pair from Topman LUX a few months ago, but the rise was so high that it made them impractical on me. These jeans however look like a much better fit.

Topman black wide leg crop jeans. £13 GBP (Topman.com)

Last one for now, this simple pair of boots by Spanish Bershka. These small Inditex labels are lately becoming riskier and fresher than their big sister, and I applaud that.

Bershka Men’s basic zip boots. £29.99 (bershka.com)

It seems I am leaving my all black everything days and slowly transitioning into grey! I am even starting to like small prints and patterns! Scary!

More picks to follow.
