New In: David Gandy for Autograph A/W 2016
I am going to completely ignore the disaster that is the new collaboration between Kenzo and H&M and speak instead of another, more successful ongoing partnership. British model Mr David Gandy stars in the new campaign of his eponymous David Gandy for Autograph design venture with British retailer Marks & Spencer.
This line of loungewear marks the second anniversary of the successful collaboration between the supermodel and Marks & Spencer. From an underwear line that grew into swimwear and then into to his sporty loungewear, the portfolio is growing slowly but steadily into a High Street Classic. Mostly because of the campaigns, always so aspirational.
It is sad however that M&S have still not been able to fully adapt to the new market and their stores always look so... old-fashioned? In the case of menswear, there is not much excitement about the way the store is presented, displayed or advertised. Not even the massive pictures of David Gandy or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley can change the appeal. I blame the lighting.
Back to the collection, the pallet of navy, black and beige is smart yet safe, for a range of twenty-eight pieces in soft, technical cotton. Plush, textured dressing gowns complete the release, with Modal crowned as the fabric of the moment for loungewear.
If you are in need of some new nightwear, check the pictures below instead of recycling an old t-shirt. We are a grownups now. We deserve better. Sleep in clothes at their best, not at their worst. I know, we have all been there.
