Launch: COS Studio A/W 2016
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the official launch of COS Studio Fall/Winter 2016 collection at their flagship store on London's Regent's Street.
A DJ playing some old school tracks, drinks and an interesting turnout to present a small and focused collection of pieces that are a spin-off of their main event.
Moved by ideas of preserving nature and the seas, and the ways we can better understand our place in the world, these pieces for a modern living come in a limited colour pallet of greys and subtle greens, with a few hints of ivory and navy. Think moss, limestone, marble, sea foam...
nature and sustainability have been covered in the recent issue of COS Magazine, available online and in their stores fore free.
The interchangeable separates are a great example of the modern tailoring of reinvented classic silhouettes that COS masters, using high quality cotton and wool.
The two coats in the collection, the mac and the jersey coat where great in person, though I was slightly sad as I could not find the double-breasted wool cardigan in ivory, only the navy one.
There was an extra 20% off on all the menswear, so I would have blindly purchased it, and also, the other thing that I liked the most, a turtle neck sweater, was not available on my size. Bummer.
French model Roch Barbot fronts the campaign's lookbook, making full use of the potential this collection has.
Really, it's becoming more and more difficult to stick to my guns and keep my outfits in the greyscale. I have to admit I am starting to secretly want to wear colours!
