Lookbook: Uniqlo U A/W 2016
Christophe Lemaire's appointment as Uniqlo's artistic director last June has reshuffled the whole concept of the brand, and I could not be happier about the result.
The Japanese giant, famous for their utilitarian basics is becoming more editorial with better and nicer visual content on their website, that I am convinced benefits immensely the customer experience. All this will be soon crowned by the launch of the Uniqlo U mini collection.
It will be launched on Friday, 30th September, and looks absolutely stunning. Interchangeable layers in warm fabrics and easy silhouettes that will blend in and combine to perfection with your existing wardrobe.
The perfect mix between Lemaire's sleek modern take on tailoring, combined with the quality and versatility of Uniqlo's basics. Win Win.
Outer layers, jackets, coats and parkas are the stars, alongside the cosy knitwear and relaxed trousers. My favourite pieces are the Chesterfield coat and the work jacket. Simple and smart.
Check it out in full on their website, or at their Flagship store on 311 Oxford Street, London W1C 2HP, as the collection will only see a limited release and will not be available everywhere.
