New In: January 2018

It is a new year and the holiday frenzy is over.

For those of us working in Fashion, surviving the four weeks that go from Black Friday to Christmas is a remarkable achievement. Most High Street brands do more than half their yearly revenue in that short period of time and that takes a toll.

Personally, I have had to face my own personal challenge in the last few months, health wise, and this has been the reason for my absence. Sorry about that, for those who read this.

Finally back in the game, I have decided to go back to my styling roots and build up a couple outfit ideas picking from the new things released in the first two weeks of 2018.

As of lately I have been playing more and more with textures and silhouettes, mixing woven and knit, even light prints with stripes but mostly mixing oversized and long-line clothing together or with tailored or skinny-fit.

The first idea is what you could call my work uniform. A relaxed pair of trousers, a long line or oversized t-shirt and sweatshirt, a nice tailored coat and some black sneakers or Derby shoes.

The second combination is just a game of proportions based around a simple pair of black skinny jeans. This is something I would wear to work if I know I am meeting someone afterwards for drinks. A t-shirt with dropped shoulder seams can be what add that extra something to an otherwise basic t-shirt.

I chose this one from H&M but this now almost a staple for most brands. White sneakers or some nice Derby shoes can change the attitude, as well as a pairing this with a more tailored or relaxed coat.
