Lookbook: Zara Studio A/W 2016
So... this happened: Zara launched online the editorial following their Studio collection, available already in stores since Monday.
Always secretive about their moves and famous for not advertising, Zara's latest effort is as polished as ever. The editorial, featuring Danish model Mathias Lauridsen, whom we have recently seen as the face of COS's Fall/Winter 2016 collection, surpasses any expectation.
Camel, ecru and brown command the pallet that mixes wool and cotton, knitwear, corduroy and suede. Notable mention also to the shoes and boots. The collection will sure stand out on the High Street, away from the saturated navy, burgundy and forest green seen in their competitors' collections.
A silhouette that is repeated like a mantra throughout the collection, consisten of smart pleated trousers, combinations of thin and chunky-knit sweaters with wool and textured overcoats.
The full range includes hidden gems that are not even used for the editorial, specially the small leather goods (love this clutch/document holder) and other shirts and accessories. I am even considering giving beige a chance, though I will most probably get some of the white or ecru pieces and combine them with my usual blacks and greys... Stay tuned for future outfit ideas.
